Isle of Wight Police and Crime Commissioner IW Hustings recording

As promised, here’s the recording of the complete questions and answers session with all of the candidates for next week’s PCC elections .

The election on Thursday (15th) will be the first of a kind in the UK and your vote is important to ensure that the person who will be overseeing the Police on the Island (and the rest of Hampshire) is the best person for the job. If you don’t vote, you can’t complain after the event as to who is elected.

The session was held at the Broadway Centre in Sandown and arranged by Isle of Wight Association of Local Councils (IWALC).

The candidates
Gill Kennett chaired the meeting and candidates generally spoke in the order they sat – David Goodall; Simon Hayes; Don Jerrard; Michael Mates; Jacqui Rayment; Stephen West – with the first person to speak moving down the line each questions, ie David first, then Simon. The only exception to this was the initial question as Don arrival was delayed.

To fill in the details, have a read back on the details of the PCC candidates that we published a few weeks ago.
