Holly Maslen One hour art:

Undecided Art Collective to auction one hour artwork for Sturge Weber UK

Visit the eBay page for the auction

The Undecided Art Collective are a group of Isle of Wight based artists who work together to inspire and support each other.

Several members got together recently to take part in an initiative to help raise awareness and funds for the charity, Sturge Weber UK (what’s this?).

One hour artwork
The artists were set the task of creating a piece of artwork in just one hour that would then be auctioned through the Collective’s ebay account next month.

The auction will take place from 8th August until 18th August and all proceeds from the auction will go to the charity, Sturge-Weber UK.

The team made this short video to illustrate the initiative.

It gives you a flavour of what will be included in the auction.

What is Sturge-Weber UK?
Sturge Weber UK is a voluntary support group for families and adults affected by Sturge Weber syndrome, a rare neurological disorder

Sturge-Weber Syndrome is a rare disorder of unknown incidence and origin; although present at birth, it is NOT thought to be hereditary. It’s usually indicated by a birthmark (port wine stain) somewhere on the face, usually involving the eye and forehead, also similar blood vessels on the brain, called an angioma.

Those with Sturge-Weber Syndrome often suffer from epilepsy, hemiplegia (a weakness or stiffness affecting one side of the body, similar in appearance to that of a stroke), glaucoma and learning difficulties. Symptoms usually occur in the child`s first year of life.
