Iain McKie, the prospective parliamentary candidate for the UK Independence Party in the 2015 election, has launched what he refers to as a “non-party political Island-based pressure group”.
The group, WightOut, intends to make the case for an ‘OUT’ vote in the upcoming EU Referendum.
He goes on to say,
“WightOut will be making the case why the UK ought to leave the European Union, how it could leave, and how the United Kingdom could thrive post-exit.
“WightOut will be inviting representatives from the Island to join its Editorial Board, regardless of their political affiliations, to contribute to the Website, Facebook page and Twitter feed, and to help organise public meetings and debates.
“The In/Out Referendum may take place as early as next year and WightOut aims to help Island residents make an informed choice.”
