24 hour treadmill in heels challenge: Location secured

Peter May, aka Stiletto Man, has succeeded in securing a venue for his 24 hour treadmill in heels challenge.

The challenge takes place over the August bank holiday weekend at Tesco Extra in Ryde and follows Peter’s walk around the Isle of Wight in stiletto heels in 2022.

Starting at midday on Saturday 26th and hopefully finishing midday on Sunday 27th.

Peter says,

“I honestly don’t know if I can do this, but I’m not a quitter and I will certainly give it my best shot on the day.”

A first in the UK
A few years ago the challenge was completed in a shopping mall in the US by a woman in three inch heels. The challenge has never been done in the UK, but Peter is planning to give it a go in four inch heels.

All money raised will go to the Island charity, Wight DASH, who support victims of domestic abuse.

Supporters
Peter said,

“I personally want to thank Sarah Marie Tyrrell-Jones who has offered to help me every step of the way again just like she did for my marathon challenge in Ryde. She really is a special lady.

“Also a massive thanks to my team that I know will be by my side for as long as they can be, you are all amazing.”

Businesses invited to sponsor hours
Peter continued,

“I will be looking for businesses to sponsor hours on this event in return if you supply me with a banner, poster or T shirt I will display them and also wear the T shirt for your sponsored hour.”

Show your support
He is also seeking moral support,

“I’m also going to need help getting through those small hours when morale will be very low, so please come along if you can and give us a boost. If you have any ideas to keep us going feel free to get in touch.

“We will be out there throughout the year leading up to this event with our roadshow challenge at many locations across the Island raising money and awareness for our worthwhile cause.

“Thank you so much in these difficult times for all your support. Myself and the charity really appreciate every penny donated.”
