750 cyclists expected for the Isle of Wight Wiggle Sportive

The Tour de France may be starting today in Yorkshire, but today and tomorrow, the Island will see the return of the Isle of Wight Wiggle Sportive.

Around 750 cyclists are expected to take part in the event that starts in Yarmouth.

Cyclists will then face a full day’s riding, choosing either the ‘Epic 70 mile route’ or the ‘Standard 53 mile route’.

Be patient on the roads
As always when the Island hosts cycling events, other roads users are asked to show patience and consideration for the cyclists, many of whom have travelled to the Island to compete.

One cyclist from the mainland who recently came over for the weekend to take in the scenery whilst cycling, tweeted afterwards that he found other road users on the Island the best in the UK!
