As part of the Studio In The Woods event taking place this weekend, the fun is not confined to adults. Once again, kids get a chance to take part in some fun in the woods. Joseph Kohlmaier from the Isle of Wight Architecture Centre tells us more in his own words. Ed
Why not take part in a day of kite-making, den-building and experimenting outdoors for parents and kids, part of Studio in the Woods 2011 at New Barn Farm in Calbourne this Saturday (16th July).
A day of amazing adventures
Could you build a den which can withstand the huff and the puff of the Big Bad Wolf?
Could you make a house that the wood-creatures and wild things want to live in at the base of the Faraway Tree?
Could you cook up a feast on a camp fire, track a wild boar or create a nest that can keep eggs safe?
Will you jump on board the Woodland Tours to see what else is being built in the woods (watch out for wild architects and engineers)?
Join in the fun
To find out, come join us at A Day in the Woods with demonstrations, story-telling and a fireside feast for all the family to enjoy.
Tickets: £15.00 per child, £5.00 for siblings, including lunch for children and parents, all materials and lots of new things to learn.
Full details of the day’s events are on Events OnTheWight, along with booking details and timings.
