Yesterday (Sunday) a small but dedicated group of people continued with their gardening project at the former Frank James Hospital.
Torrential rain did not prevent further work being done which saw some more brambles cleared and following recent break-ins the area was made safer for local residents too and messages of support were received by volunteers during morning.
No sign of owners
Despite an open letter being published no contact was made to the volunteers by the owners, which was disappointing, however Friends of Frank James would welcome discussions with the owners to resolve the sorry plight of Frank James Hospital.
The fact that the building appears to be getting unwelcome attention only emphasises the urgent need for Frank James Hospital’s future to be made more secure and used for the benefit of the community.
Friends of Frank James are already planning further actions and will keep people informed.
