Cowes Week

Cowes Week is held once a year in August and is reputed to be one of the oldest sailing regattas in the world.

The fireworks are renowned on the Isle of Wight, with many Islanders travelling to Cowes to watch them.

Cowes Week yachtsman dies after being pulled unconscious from water (Update 3)

A man in his 60s fell from an RS Elite class yacht at Cowes Week. Crew from another boat retrieved him and emergency services worked to revive him. Update: Sadly he's passed away.
