MP Seely accuses Isle of Wight councillors of delaying school place planning - Councillor Bacon refutes the claims, adding that the MP's comments are "somewhat out of touch"
Jonathan Bacon was elected in 2013 as Isle of Wight Councillor for Brading, St Helens and Bembridge. He was also Executive Member for Children’s Services and Corporate Governance and later became leader of the IWC.
He stood for reelection in 2017 but failed to gain enough votes. He was then elected as an Our Island councillor for Brading & St Helens and joined the Alliance Group to take power of County Hall. He is the Cabinet Member for Environment, Heritage and Waste Management.
