Three Isle of Wight lifeboat crews will be among around 67 nationwide joining forces on 21st February to raise awareness for Independent lifeboat stations that operate outside the jurisdiction of the RNLI.
Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat is a charity that saves lives at sea.
They operate a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service.
They are not connected in any way to the RNLI and rely on donations from the public.
