During the seven-week road closure whilst geo-technical works take place along Bouldnor Road, the Island's bus company has stepped in with a special offer to help support the local businesses.
Southern Vectis are the dominant bus company on the Isle of Wight. They operate many routes across the Island.
Southern Vectis was formed in 1929 as the Vectis Bus Company. It was owned by large national concerns until 1970 when it was nationalised and became part of the state-owned National Bus Company.
In 1986, through a management buy-out the company became independent, but was bought by the Go-Ahead Group in July 2005.
