This readers says cyclists will be "topping 50mph over a surface that is so uneven and worn that it rivals the cobbles of Paris"
The 130km final leg of the 2022 Tour of Britain was due to take place on the Isle of Wight on Sunday 11th September.
More than 100 cyclists were to take part in the Tour of Britain which beginning in Ryde at and finishing at The Needles, West Wight.
The event was cancelled at the last minute due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Isle of Wight council lost their £350,000 investment into the event, which was reported to bring £4m to the Island.
