Previously under the control of the Isle of Wight council, in May 2012 an 125 year lease for the Ventnor Botanic Garden was signed between John Curtis for VBC CIC and the council.
The former curator of Ventnor Botanic Garden paid it a visit last week and has been left stunned by what he saw, slamming the current leaseholder, John Curtis, for what he labels ‘mismanagement’
The council papers justifying it say the approach of the private sector investors/developers interested in acquiring the harbours, "is to be welcomed".
