Following the success of the first Acoustic Originals night, the next event on 18th June promises a diverse line up of established and newly emerging artists and bands from all over the Island, ranging in age from 14 to “over 40″.
This month’s line up includes:
The Hoops – our IW first band – tbc
Paul Armfield – guitar – veteran IW songwriter and local legend!
Mike Jolliffe – guitar – veteran who, during his illustrious career, has been in bands with Anthony Minghella
Sandra O’Toole (confirmed) guitar – Platform One graduate
Martin Perry (confirmed) guitar – acoustic blues, folk and jazz
Max Edermaniger – aged 14 (confirmed) – guitar
Emily McGregor(confirmed) – aged 16 guitar/piano
The monthly showcase night at the Quay provides a unique opportunity to celebrate and support quality song writing. “Our aim is to encourage and celebrate the wealth of song writing talent on the Island, and to surprise, delight and inspire our audience” Mick Smith, Director of the Quay and host of the nights
