Children and young people on the Isle of Wight are invited to an event where providers of Island services and activities are showing what they can offer.
The free entry event, called ‘Adventures in Wonderland’, is being held at Newport’s Riverside Centre between 10:30am and 3:30pm on Saturday 6 November.
It is organised by Isle of Wight Council and the Wessex Youth Offending Team and is primarily for children and young people aged 10 – 17 but is open to anyone.
A range of entertainment is also on offer, including music, singing and dancing on stage all performed by young people while visitors can have a go on dance mats, take part in a dance workshop and have a make-over.
The day has been put together with the help of young people, with many of the organisations and clubs offering free taster sessions. Refreshments will also be provided.
An auction and a raffle will also be held and any money raised at the event will be split amongst two Isle of Wight based charities. These are St Catherine’s School and The Saturday Club for Deaf Children.
Any clubs or organisations wishing to exhibit at the event should contact (01983) 522799 or email [email protected]
