ZootTucci tells VB that a big tree went down in Alverstone Garden Village just before 3pm today.
As you can see from the photo, it was a biggy. At the time it happened, Zoot tells us that the locals were trapped in, with no other way in/out.
IWC Highways acted quickly and about half an hour ago they started clearing the fallen tree with chainsaws.
The latest update – minutes ago – Highways have got all of the tree clear and the route is usable now.
