How many of you already knew that the Island has our very own Annie Leibovitz-in-the-making?
15 year old Ventnorian, Annie Leonard, must be one of the youngest people to have had an exhibition at Dimbola Lodge and she continues to astound us with her fantastic photographic eye.
Annie is responsible for the great shots taken for the Invent Theatre Group (this years production of The Button Box as well as last years Asphodel Fields).
She has shot for VB at Bestival and Camp Bestival and is always busy on own personal projects – check her Flickr stream for some fab examples.
But we felt compelled to write about her this week after she sent us a truly beautiful shot of the great Patti Smith.
The shot below was taken at the private view of Patti Smith’s recent exhibition at Dimbola Lodge a couple of weeks ago.
We were fortunate enough to be at the concert given the following night at Farringford and reckon Annie has done an amazing job of capturing the essence of Patti.
