I had a spring in my step when I walked into town today, the sky was blue and the sun was glistening on the sea, but that wasn’t the reason why.
I was on my way to my first Textiles Workshop session being run by Annik from Neighbourhood Learning in Ventnor.
Not only did I get to meet lots of friendly people, but I learnt how to hook small strips of rags through a piece of hessian to make rugs. It was ace and well worth the £2 cost per session (first one was free). The two hours flew by and it was soon time to pack up and go home.
Look out for future courses and you might be able to produce a ‘masterpiece’ like the one (right) I did this morning ;-)
