The Faculty of Health Sciences at University of Southampton are putting on an exhibition celebrating 30 years of degree nursing at the university and need out help.
As part of this celebration there are some features on nursing throughout the ages, including the Isle of Wight. However, they are very short of photos of nursing from the Isle of Wight.
Dr. Mark Rawlinson who is involved with the exhibition and has been in touch and is hoping that OnTheWight readers may be able to help, by loaning (or donating) original photos they may have of Isle of Wight nurses in uniform.
From Victorian days to the 1960s
Naturally, all photos would be attributed to the owner and Mark goes on to say that they’d particularly like photographs from Victorian days up to the 1960s.
They wouldn’t be able to accept any published photos unless the owner is the copyright holder, but personal photos or family photos of relatives etc will be very welcome.
Act fast
Here’s the tricky bit. The exhibition goes live on the 25 September 2013, so they’re keen to receive your photos as soon as possible.
If you think you have something to contribute, please get in touch with Mark by emailing him on [email protected]
