Update: Police inform us that Malcolm Russell was located safe and well by police in the Ryde area of the Isle of Wight at approximately 9.00am this morning (Thursday, May 14, 2009).
Police are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a vulnerable missing man on the Isle of Wight.
Officers are concerned for the welfare of Malcolm Russell, aged 49, who was reported missing from the Newport area of the island shortly after 1.30pm on Thursday, May 7, 2009.
Mr Russell’s description is:

â— 5 ft 10 ins tall
â— Medium build
â— Long grey hair, which may have been cut short recently
â— Blue eyes
Police believe Mr Russell remains on the Island after a reported sighting by a member of the public near the Carphone Warehouse shop in the High Street, Ryde at 3.45pm yesterday (Monday, May 11, 2009).
