The volunteer group The Friends of Frank James, who are campaigning to get the Grade II listed former hospital in East Cowes renovated, are appealing to the public in locating any artifacts and pictures in connection with the hospital.
The Friends are wanting to compile an inventory of all remaining artifacts. As time passes and the state of the building deteriorates, a record is needed of how it used to look and what was located where in the hospital so that hopefully, in the near future, they can be reinstated.

Joshua Aitken-Dunkeld aged 17, the youngest member of the group said,
“Listing the remaining artifacts and having pictures of the building in use as a hospital is extremely important to myself and many others, as so much of the interior of the building has vanished.
“Unfortunately, the building is now an empty shadow of what it used to be and we would be extremely grateful to anyone who comes forward with any information so we can piece together how this historic gem once looked inside and out!”
