Since the Lake Working Men’s Club closed earlier in the year, Shoom has been doing a tour of the Island and in August will be presenting ASBO Part 2 at Ryde Theatre.
The promo bulletin claims that live comedy will be performed by Lottie Bowater, Ross Noble and Bill Hicks.
Quite a line-up they’ve got there, goodness knows how they can afford to pay Ms Bowater and what they said to convince her to perform at Ryde Theatre!
Forget the music, as we see that there will be an animal balloon demonstration and weightlifting by Tim Harrington.
Wight Wizards will be putting on the ‘Fire Jumping Dog Agility’ show and the trademark Shoom visuals will this time be provided by Da Vinci and Konnie Huq (ex-Blue Peter).
You have to be over sixteen to get in and for just three quid before 10pm, you’ll be able to swing your pants to music from Skinny Puppy, teh_b3nXor, Radiohead with DJ TS, DJ Kingskin (grindcore and minimalism set), DJ Ed Real (old skool banana milkshake set), Iron Maiden, Wu-Tang Clan, Nirvana DJ set and compering for the night, Tom from MySpace.
Leave it until after 10pm to get in and it’ll cost you four quid.
