Following on from the brilliant Creative Biosphere exhibition in the West Gallery at Quay Arts, comes another equally fantastic showcase.
Running until Saturday 8th April, Just the Place is an exhibition celebrating three years of Boojum&Snark’s cultural and creative projects.
The artwork, which shines a spotlight on Sandown and explores the role of ‘placemaking’ in Sandown, has previously been exhibited on the walls and in the windows of Boojum&Snark at some point in the last three years.
There have been six distinct projects and commissions led by eight artists with participation from members of the public of all ages.
A whole body of work
Now you can see all the commissions together for the first time in one exhibition and as a whole body of work.
The creative practitioners whose work is featured in the ‘Just the Place’ exhibition are:
- Teresa Grimaldi
- Sarah Vardy
- Lauren Fry
- Sapphire Goss
- Claire Speight
- Maggie Sawkins
- Enzo
- Kathy Williams
What is Boojum&Snark?
Boojum&Snark opened in 2019 and is a regeneration project located in a former long-standing empty High Street shop.
It mashes together a love for craft beer, community and culture.
