It seems that one official launch party in London isn’t enough for those party people at Bestival HQ, because they’ve only gone and organised another, this one at the Bloomsbury Ballroom on Friday 20th April.
In addition to the great parties lined up from next week through til May, Bestival lovelies have just announced a night of nonsense and madness, with a pre festival season fancy dress party!
The theme for this one is Flappers and Pirates.
But it’s not just all about dressing up, it wouldn’t be a Bestival party without live music and top acts from 9pm to 3am!
The gorgeous Candie Payne will be tickling her tonsils. The urban poet of the moment Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip (pictured left) will be making a very welcome appearance.
Keeping it live will be Natty – one of the top tips for 2007 in many peoples charts … we’re told to imagine Bob Marley was still alive and dropping into the Bloomsbury Ballroom for an hour or two and you’ll not be far off.
And there’s more, Planning to Rock is Janine Rostron – a spaced out bonkers performance artist and musician. An arty Janis Joplin. A psychotropic wonder. A musician and video master whose powerful voice and groundbreaking songwriting is generating waves.
On the DJ front is head honcho, Rob da Bank with MC Beardyman with a couple of world-famous Sound Systems in the form of Trojan and Sombrero!
£12.50 in advance, £15 on door
