Some congestion reported on Downs Road. Other main Island roads running as normal and are getting busier as usual on a weekday.
Motorists not going to the Bestival site at Robin Hill should avoid the area if at all possible and use alternative routes.
Car parks now open
Any motorists who are camping at the Bestival should follow their approved routes to their designated car parks (red or yellow).
If you are attending the Bestival and are parked in a lay-by, the Bestival car parks now open so please make your way to the Bestival site.
Update 8.39am: Anyone camping at the Bestival, please remember that the camp site is open at 9am and the main site open at midday. If you have arrived at your designated car park, please stay with your vehicle until the camp site or main site opens. Please DO NOT walk along Downs Road.
Update 9.18am: Roads reported as running as normal. Bestival campsite now open so anyone waiting in their cars at the site’s car parks should make their way there.
Update 10.29am: Main roads running as normal. Avoid Bestival site if not going to the event.
Update 12.15pm: All roads leading to Robin Hill roundabout very busy due to traffic arriving for the Bestival. Anyone not going to the event should avoid the area.
Update 12.20pm: Long Lane and Briddlesford Road very busy due to Bestival traffic. Avoid the areas if possible if you are not going to The Bestival as long delays on these roads.
Update 13.15pm: Roads running smoothly. Traffic has eased around Robin Hill site but avoid area if you are not going to the Bestival.
