BP chief executive Tony Hayward’s face filled the papers at the weekend.
Not because of his latest session at the Capitol Hill hearings, but because he was spotted enjoying the Round the Island race right here on the Isle of Wight at the weekend.
The chap got quite a roasting from critics in the US, who felt that he should have been dealing with the matter of the massive oil leak, rather than taking a day off to watch his yacht race in the event.
Abusive emails
Unconfirmed reports to us also claim that organisers of the race have received abusive emails once his attendance was made public.
Sounds a little harsh, it’s hardly their fault!
