Brading Haven Yacht Club in running for top award: Vote today

Brading Haven Yacht Club, based on the eastern side of the Isle of Wight, is asking for support to secure a top award.

The Club has been shortlisted for the 2022 RYA and Yachts and Yachting Club of the Year Award.

In the top ten
Celebrating the achievements of sailing clubs, Brading Haven Yacht Club joins nine other clubs on the shortlist of finalists.

The Club is now asking members of the public to vote for them ahead of the winner being announced in February at the RYA Dinghy and Water Sports Show, Farnborough International.

A range of activities on offer
The Club has taken the opportunity to review all areas of our Club activities and added a number of innovative ideas to the Club programme, groups such as After School sailing, Sailability, Paddleboarding and Kayaks and has seen more members out on the water as well as enjoying racing and social sailing.

The Club is very fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who support the activities, but has also increased professional instructor numbers to give flexibility and scope to grow.

Boost in membership
The Club has seen its membership boosted significantly in 2021. It has started an ECO Club and members are supporting beach cleans, running beach surveys and has reduced single-use plastic.

Brading Haven Yacht Club were delighted to hear they had been chosen as one of the RYA South Region finalists and have been recognised for the category of “Sustainability.”

Vote today
Please support this Island club and vote today for the RYA Club of the Year Award 2022.
