A budding young writer and her illustrator mother are hoping that News OnTheWight readers will be able to help them with a new Kickstarter campaign.
Charlotte Begg got in touch with News OnTheWight to explain,
“When my seven-year-old daughter, Josie, told me she had written a short story I obviously asked to read it.
“It was so good I decided to create the illustrations for it in the hope of getting it published.”
Readers are asked to pledge £10 or more to help the duo reach their £200 goal. In return you’ll receive a signed hard-back copy by author and illustrator.
Charlotte explains further,
“Josie had a great idea about a little bird who lost its voice, and his friends helped them find it again. I won’t spoil the surprise by telling you where they found it, but needless to say, most things are lost in the most obvious of places.
“I think that there is a serious shortage of silliness in children’s books today, and hope our book brings a smile to your face.
“Josie and I have loved working on this book together, and hope love reading it too.”
