The Isle of Wight council inform us this morning that the Cowes to Newport Cycle Track will be closed for two days from today for emergency repairs.
It appears that pesky rabbits have undermined a section of the track near the foot bridge south of Stag Lane.
They’re hoping that the work will be completed in double quick time, so the cycle track should be open again by the weekend.
Where’s the diversion?
Pedestrians are being diverted along Dodnor Lane and along public footpath N30. A diversion route for cyclists and pedestrians has been put in place along Dodnor Lane, St Mary’s Roundabout, A3020 Parkhurst Road, Horsebridge Hill and Stag Lane.
