Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust has launched its annual wildlife photography competition, in search of the best wildlife images from the two counties.

Entry is free and there is a £150 prize for the overall winner. The winners from each of the twelve categories will get their picture featured in the Wildlife Trust’s 2014 Wildlife Calendar.

Inspirational picture of wildlife
If you are a keen photographer and can take an inspirational picture of wildlife in your local area, this competition is for you. We are looking for the best images of wildlife and wild places within Hampshire and on the Isle of Wight. So why not head out with your camera and see what you can find.

In this year’s competition there are several new categories, including Reptiles and Amphibians and separate categories for Hampshire and Isle of Wight landscapes to celebrate the wild spaces of each area.

Showing off the fabulous wildlife and landscapes of the Island
Competition organiser Stephanie Watson said, “This competition is all about showing off the fabulous wildlife and landscapes of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We can’t wait to see what images people enter. This year we have a new category for more artistic shots and that one is going to be particularly interesting to keep an eye on.”

The last date for entries is 31st July 2013. Full competition rules are available on our Website.
