There’s been a road traffic collision between two cars on the Newport Road near the airport in Lake.
The Island’s Fire Control centre received a call at 14:36 and are now on the scene with a tender each from Shanklin and Ryde and the rescue tender from Ryde.
The Fire Service tell us that one of the people in the accident needs removing from their car, but they are not trapped. The Police and Ambulance are also on the scene.
Road disruption
Sam Palmer for in touch with VB 24 minutes ago (14:42) to say that there are long queues at Morrison’s roundabout in Lake.
At 15:00 John Keywood updated VB that the road from Morrisons to apse heath has been shut.
