You would’ve thought that after having a stop notice slapped on his St Joseph’s development and raising the ire of a large group of people living around his own house, Michael Jennings wouldn’t be wanting to waste any more of the planning and enforcement officers time, wouldn’t you.
It doesn’t appear so.
The planning officer did a site at St Josephs visit this week and guess what he reported back?
Whilst at the site I noted that there were still discrepancies between the plans and what has been built. As a result, I do not feel that it would be appropriate to have the plans considered at the next Planning Committee and have requested that new amended plans are sent to the Planning Authority that reflect what has been built within the next 21 days. Once the plans have been submitted a new consultation exercise should be carried out and you will be notified of this.
So, once again Mr Jennings is responsible for wasting the time of the general public and planning officers – sadly equating to our tax pounds. Will he ever learn?
Oooo, he’s a very naughty boy
The VentnorBlog file on Michael Jennings is extensive, but you might remember that most recently, we reported earlier this month that after a Joseph’s site visit in August by the planning officer and enforcement officer, Michael Jennings was requested to submit new plans to accurately reflect how he had built beyond the approved permission.
It took his architect, Duncan Gayler nearly three months to get these amended plans to the planners to be followed by the normal public consultation – holiday hijack-style natch. This time these jolly fellows have been given a further 21 days to produce the necessary – leaving VB to wonder how slow you have to draw to take that long to complete some drawings?
Let’s hope they manage to get the correct plans together in time. We do wonder, however, what will happen to them if they don’t?
Ventnor Enhancement Fund
Oh cruel irony, this is the same Michael Jennings that is currently the Project & Funding officer for the Ventnor Enhancement Fund.
Jennings and Enhancement in the same sentence.
Beyond how laughable that is, some have wondered if it’s right that such a person should be representing Ventnor and having a say in how it transforms itself.
