On Saturday 21st October 2023, the Newport Methodist Church will be buzzing with excitement and nostalgia.
The occasion is the 1st Newport Boys Brigade Reunion, an event that is set to celebrate decades of camaraderie and community service.
A celebration spanning decades
The reunion invites all who have been part of the 1st Newport Boys Brigade between the years 1985 to 2022.
Whether you served as a boy member, an officer, a helper, or an associate, or if you were part of the joint Boys and Girls Brigade Band, this event is for you.
Walking down Memory Lane
The day promises to be one of recollection and reminiscence, beginning at 11am with a warming coffee reception.
From 11.30am to 12.30pm, attendees will be encouraged to share memories and reflections of their time with the brigade.
Sharing and caring
Following the session of shared memories will be a light lunch, served from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, providing a chance for more informal chats and reminiscing.
Post-lunch, from 1.30pm to 3pm, attendees can enjoy coffee and a casual chat, providing more opportunities for shared stories and warm memories.
Open invitation to worship
In addition to the reunion event, there is an open invitation to the morning service on Sunday 22nd October, starting at 10.30am.
This service, at the Newport Methodist Church, offers an additional opportunity for fellowship and reflection.
