Charity Auction Has Something For Everyone

Community spirit is a much bandied phrase in the media and yet one which is being shown to a remarkable degree in Niton at the moment.

Bale of hayNiton Pre-School is situated within the grounds of the Primary School but is an independent charity run school.

Its current building is in a sad state of repair and something needs to be done, so parents and staff have come together to raise funds.

Some fantastic lots
A nebulous idea about a charity auction has grown into a monster of an event and businesses from across the Island have shown amazing generosity in donating fantastic lots for a charity auction to be held this Friday, 7pm at The White Lion pub in Niton.

As the momentum of the event continues to roll, more lots are being offered every day.

Lots include meals out, family day trips to Island attractions, fencing lessons, horse riding, b&b accommodation, massage, a digital camera, a colour printer, beauty treatments, tutored wine tastings, hampers of food, bales of hay, a ton of wood and the star lot has to be a wood burning stove and installation.

Sealed bids welcome
Now that there are over 60 amazing lots on offer, the organisers are hopeful that a high turnout of enthusiastic bidders will result in a hugely successful and fun evening. There really is something for everyone!

Those unable to attend can get a catalogue of auction lots e-mailed from pre-school and are welcome to place sealed bids in advance.
