Isle of Wight artist, Charlotte Hodge-Thomas, has much to celebrate.
Not only was she recently selected to exhibition in the NAPA (National Acrylic Painters’ Association) Summer Show at the Crypt Gallery, St. Ives (runs until 11th September), but she has also been chosen to receive the President’s Award for “work which shows exceptional skill in the use of acrylic paint”.
As well as the kudos of the award, Charlotte will also receive £100 prize money, paid for by the N.A.P.A. President; internationally acclaimed painter, writer and broadcaster Alwyn Crawshaw.
Thrilled to receive the award
Charlotte is thrilled to receive this recognition for her work.
She told OnTheWight she applied to become a member of NAPA back in March 2015, which involved sending images of her work along with a biography detailing her use of acrylic paint.
The response from Paul Geraghty read,
“Thank you for your excellent application. Your work is of a high quality and shows strong use of both colour and composition. You have a very professional approach to your painting and we look forward to your involvement in the association.”
