This coming Friday sees the return of ever popular annual fundraising event at Corrie’s Cabin Chip Shops on the Island.
This is the 6th annual event run by the mighty chip masters and runs for a whole week from 26th March to 2nd April.
We understand that in the last six years alone the annual event has raised a whopping £5,400 for local charities.
How much is going to charity?
This year, Corrie’s Cabin will be donating 50p from every sale made throughout the week, which they reckon should amount to at least one day’s takings.
“The event is always well supported,” said owner Richard Quigley. “People have said they cannot always make it to the shop on that particular day, so we have decided to run it for the week, so that everyone that comes in can contribute.”
Where will be money be going?
All money raised at Corrie’s Cabin in Cowes will go to the very worthy cause of The Ellen MacArthur Trust, whilst money raised at the Oakfield shop will go to The Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
