Gareth Icke Gets His Kit Off For Charity

Whilst we’re on the subject of charity, next month may see hoards of adoring young Gareth Icke fans swooning across the Island.

Gareth Gets His Kit Off For CharityWhy you might ask? Well, Gareth tells us that he’ll be doing a charity walk across the Island in just a pair of crisp white pants.

Yes ladies, the six pack hunk from Ryde will be walking 27 miles walk from one end of the Isle of Wight to the other wearing nothing but his trusty trainers and underwear.

The walk is in aid of The Lewis Mighty Fund and takes place on Saturday 17th April.

You can show your support for Gareth (and Lewis – more details below) by donating online or in person at The Solent Inn, The Liquid Lounge, Ryde Barber Shop.

What is the Lewis Mighty Fund?
Who better to explain Lewis’ plight than his parents.

Our beautiful son, Lewis Paul Mighty, has sadly been diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma; a very rare form of cancer which mainly targets under 5’s.

Lewis was only 3 years old when he was diagnosed in October 2008.

Most children who have this disease don’t display any symptoms until the disease is widespread. Devastatingly; Neuroblastoma has only a 20% chance of being cured in Europe making it one of the most deadly of child cancers.

For this reason we have started an appeal to provide the funds for Lewis to travel to America for immunotherapy treatment.

VB Easter Chocolate CompetitionThis treatment in not available in Europe; and for Lewis’s best chance of survival he must visit the Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Clinic in New York City.

However, the cost of this life saving treatment comes at a cost. $350,000 is needed before Lewis can visit the clinic and so an appeal to raise £300,000 has begun.

Although Lewis has been undergoing intensive treatment since his diagnosis his spirit and courage continues to shine through and he is an inspiration to those who meet him!

Lewis has always been like many other children! A happy, healthy little boy who is loved by many. He has a sister Leah who is 12 and a brother Morgan who is 10.

Lewis is a big WWE Wresting fan – this must be where he gets his energy and strength from!

Lewis is a very brave and happy little boy who deserves every chance to live.
