Abigail Rendell, one of the many volunteers who is hoping to turn the town of Ventnor into a Christmas haven on Saturday 13th December has been in touch again with more dates for bunting-making workshops.
If you have some spare time and the skills your help would be greatly appreciated in making the last 200m of Christmas bunting to adourn the town for Ventnorville.
The sessions
Sessions take place today (Monday) at St. Andrews Hotel, Belgrave Road between 10-12, then again between 4pm-late.
On Tuesday between 1.30-5pm, on Wednesday between 1-6.30pm, on Thursday between 3pm-late and finally all day Friday.
Update Wednesday 10.30am
All bunting is now complete and will hopefully be hoisted next week, so no need for any more workshops
What to take and where
If you have a sewing machine it would be helpful for you to take along, although there will be some available for those without. If you can’t sew, then fear not, as you help out by cutting out bunting shapes instead.
Please also remember to take along your own pinking shears/scissors, as available fabric scissors will be very limited.
The sewing sessions take place at St Andrew’s Hotel in Belgrave Road. The hotel has fabulous views looking over the bay, so you’ll be sewing with a seaview!
