Christmas Market in Niton

If you like to get your Christmas shoping out of the way well before Christmas, then the Christmas market at Niton Primary School at the end of the month.

Christmas Market in NitonThe event is being hosted by the Friends of Niton School and features lots of stalls with great present ideas, as well as local produce and it wouldn’t be a FONS bash without the obligatory Santa’s Grotto, raffle, tombola, and disco room for the little darlings to dance off all the sugar from the cake stall.

How very sad that Government after Government cancel major projects that are likely to cripple our future capability to earn our way in the world. One fairly recent example – Cancelling research for the carbon capture and sequestration at coal burning power stations, and although some funding is being made available we are years behind.
Research and funding for tidal turbines – and barrages – also delayed.

Wholeheartedly agree with MA. The Government continues to fail us by not propagating high tech industries and also fails to show any belief in us as a nation. What a very different story it might have been if the Government had not cancelled the successful Black Arrow back in 1971.
