Hot on the heels of given the accolade of ‘Outstanding show’, Isle of Wight actor, director and producer Graham Pountney returns to Ventnor Fringe Festival with After All These Years by Giles Cole.
Theatre Reviva! and Close Quarter Productions in association with Holofcener Ltd, tour a new comedy-drama on the Isle of Wight in July.
“A superb play!”Simon Jenner, Fringe Review
Three linked short plays
Graham last presented Summer Love on the Island in 2019 and now follows it with this delightful show. His professional theatre company visits the Island with a play that offers fun, laughs, whimsy, pathos and intrigue in three 30 minute acts.
Three linked short plays, Weatherman, Still Dancers and An Occasional Cup of Tea, can be seen in pairs or all together as one complete play: After All These Years.
“It’ll be a Summer of Fun!”
Graham is thrilled to bring this new work, direct from Brighton with rave reviews, to the Island. “It’ll be a Summer of Fun!” he says.
As a sailor he is delighted that lead actor Nicholas Day (The Crown, RSC) who he first worked with in 1988 as founding members of the British Actors Theatre Company, is part of the company.
Nick, who is also Commodore of the Greenwich Yacht Club, said,
“It’s a bit far to sail from Greenwich to Cowes for this show – but I have done the Round the Island race before!”
Cath Humphrys says,
“I can’t wait to come back; we had such a lovely time when Graham toured the Alan Bennett play Green Forms to Quay Arts!”
Jenner: The finest premiere I’ve seen
The cumulative force of this new three-part, four-actor, comedy-drama , just 90 minutes long, is “the finest premiere I’ve seen in this Fringe” writes Simon Jenner.
The story will touch your heart, make you laugh and reminisce too. This company is bringing to the fore important things about the older generation.
“These plays afford opportunities for exclusively older actors to display their talents and experience – for that, if for no other reason, a trip down memory lane is worth considering.”Broadway Baby review
