Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Simon Hayes, will be hosting a ‘live’ webchat this Wednesday, November 20, from 3.30 to 4.30pm.
The webchat coincides with the Commissioner celebrating one full year in office and forms an important part of his public engagement and consultation programme.
It provides an opportunity for the Commissioner to listen to any issues or concerns members of the public may want to raise about policing in Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Through this two-way dialogue, while providing the public with an overview of his role and what he has achieved during his first year, the Commissioner can also outline to the public he serves what his plans are for the future.
Simon Hayes said:
“Throughout my first year in office I have travelled extensively across all corners of Hampshire and Isle of Wight meeting many individuals, groups and organisations. I recognise however that this has involved only a small percentage of the 1.9 million population I represent. By hosting this ‘live’ webchat and others on a regular basis in the future, I hope to provide more people with the chance to talk to me about what matters most to them.”
The Commissioner added:
“Regular webchats are just one way in which I plan to engage with the public in the future and these will be supported by regular visits to local communities across the two counties, where I will be able to meet the public face-to-face.”
Details of all webchats and community engagement visits will be publicised on the Commissioner’s website: www.hampshire-pcc.gov.uk
