Connect with nature at free Isle of Wight wildlife event

This Sunday (13th August), discover more about the Isle of Wight’s local wildlife at a free event on Pan Country Park, Newport.

‘Tales & Trails’ offers ranger-led walks, storytelling for all ages and a range of activities. From 11am -3pm, wildlife specialists will be on hand to share their knowledge of red squirrels, hedgehogs, butterflies and moths, too.

Organised by Gift to Nature
The event has been organised by Gift to Nature, a local countryside charity, who manages Pan Country Park as well as over 30 other natural spaces around the Island.

They care for the Island’s wildlife, but also encourage everyone to explore our fantastic countryside.

Connect with nature
The Gift to Nature Engagement Officer, Rachael Ardley, said,

“This is a great opportunity for people to get out in the countryside and connect with nature.”

The event is being supported by ASDA who has kindly offered the use of their car park and toilets. Blue badge holders should use old Pan Lane.

Details of this event and the Gift to Nature sites may be found on the Website.
