If you follow our Twitter stream or Isle of Wight News page on Facebook you’ll have seen that the Floating Bridge in Cowes ran aground earlier.
Just under an hour ago the council advised,
“A passenger launch is in operation for pedestrians and cyclists, vehicles are being diverted via Newport.
The floating bridge should be back in service this evening from 10.30pm.
Apologies for any inconvenience this afternoon.”
We hope the hard-working crew on board the Floating Bridge get a well-earned rest whilst it’s out of action.
