Cowes Floating Bridge Replaced By Passenger Launch (Updated – photo gallery)

We’ve just heard that the Cowes Floating Bridge has developed a fault with a chain.

Cowes Floating Bridge Replaced By Passenger Launch (Updated - photo gallery)The Isle of Wight council tell us that it’s being investigated and the fault will be remedied as soon as they’re able to.

In the meantime a passenger launch service will be in operation.

UPDATE: Just in case it’s not completely obvious – cars can’t use that service.

Any photos?
Be great if someone using it could send through a picture of the replacement, so we can add it to the story – Thanks

Thanks to VB reader Allan Marsh for sending through a selection of photos of the replacement service and work to the chain.
