Cowes Primary School has had an eventful few weeks, hosting both its Harvest Festival and the much-loved annual Pumpkin Carving Competition.
The school community came together in a spirit of celebration and generosity, with pupils and staff alike participating in these autumnal traditions.
Harvest Festival for a cause
At the Harvest Festival, the children brought in a range of produce and donations.
These contributions were then gifted to Isle of Wight Foodbank, supporting families and individuals across the Isle of Wight who may be in need.
By participating in this initiative, the school aims to teach its students the importance of helping those less fortunate.
Pumpkin carving competition
Alongside the Harvest Festival, Cowes Primary held its annual Pumpkin Carving Competition, an event that always sparks excitement.
Children from every class put their creative skills to the test, crafting an impressive array of carved pumpkins.
From spooky faces to imaginative designs, the pupils’ creations were on full display, with each one showcasing their artistic talents.
Prizes for creativity
As part of the competition, one pupil from each class was chosen as a winner.
These winners were awarded a certificate and a small prize to recognise their efforts.
The school praised all the children for their participation and creativity, ensuring that everyone felt proud of their work.
