Vectis Radio Community Awards 2024: Isle of Wight celebrates local heroes

Vectis Radio Community Awards 2024 a huge success.

The 2024 Vectis Radio Isle of Wight Community Awards ceremony was held at The Riverside Centre on Friday (15th March).

Over 100 people were in the Trafalgar Room to witness the awards being presented by The High Sheriff, Dawn Haig-Thomas. Interval entertainment was provided by Huxley Magic adding to the overall fun of the evening.

Maggie Currie, who organised the event, said,

“The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the support from all the organisations for each other was humbling to see.”

She continued,

“I am so pleased with the success of the event and how it raises awareness of these organisations, a number of which I had never heard of. I’d like to thank the panel of independent judges who had a real task on their hands making their choices.”
