Appley WI were given an interesting talk by Steve, a Police Community Support Officer, during their December meeting.
He spoke about his role and offered crime prevention advice, backed up with prizes of timer switches for some lucky members.
Best bloom
After tea and Christmas nibbles, the annual cup and trophy for the monthly competition and best bloom winners were presented.
The winners, Pam Fenna and Joy Wade, promptly came first in the new season of competitions!
From officer to magician
Having changed out of his uniform, Steve proved to be an entertaining magician who had the ladies laughing.
It was a most enjoyable evening and Appley WI look forward to welcoming old and new members next year.
