Wow, fantastic to hear this morning from Nikki Collinson, the Islander who has been fundraising for a piece of equipment which means that bereaved parents will be able to take longer to say goodbye to their babies, that last night the target was reached.
Nikki tells us that she has ordered the Cuddle Cot and hopes to be able to donate it to St Mary’s on Christmas Day.
The appeal had a total of 297 donations from people on and off the Island.
Well done to everyone who donated, especially to Nikki for organising the appeal and ordering the Cuddle Cot. We’re sure that any parents who are in the sad position of having to use it will be very grateful.
