On Saturday 13th July 2013, East Cowes will reverberate to the sounds of a Samba Band, Zumba Get Fit Dancers, Morris Dancers and the Corps of Drums from TS Osborne Sea Cadets, giving displays in the display arena, as the Fun day gets underway.
Victoria Recreation Ground, will be filled with tents and marquees in which will be housed many Youth and Community groups, including Friends of East Cowes, Vectis Road Allotments, Brownies, Scouts, IW Ranger Cadets, Spectrum Housing, IW & Hants Air Ambulance Service, RNLI, East Cowes Heritage Centre and English Heritage.
A variety of displays
Static displays will include, East Cowes Safer Neighbourhood Team, the RNLI, who will have a RIB lifeboat on display, camping skills will be demonstrated by the Ranger Cadets. Also on display will be a selection of cars from the Vintage Car Club.
The children will be well looked after, with a Bouncy Castle, a Slide and various other side shows.
The inner man will be will looked after with the inclusion on site of a Hog Roast, a Burger Van and an Ice Cream vendor. Sandwiches, cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks will be served in the Pavilion.
Fundraising event
The event is being organised as a fund raiser for The Pavilion, The IW Playing Fields and the Friends of East Cowes.
We are looking forward to a warm and sunny day to encourage the community in East Cowes and the wider community across the Island. All will be given a very warm welcome.
