Red Funnel vehicle ferry passengers have been experiencing delays this morning due to a fault on the main deck linkspan.
Leanna Lakes, Operations Director at Red Funnel, said,
“We have a problem with one of the fingers on the main deck linkspan at our East Cowes terminal.
“Our team are working hard to fix the problem and repairs are underway.
“Our vehicle ferry service to Southampton will continue using the upper deck but there will be some temporary delays.”
Leanna went on to say,
“We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause to some customers and will be updating our Website and social media channels once we have resolved the issue and the service is back on track.”
